Wow, what an eerie sound when they make their "find" known. Woke Gary and I out of a sound sleep so out to the barn I ran. Flashlight and metal feed bowl as a noisemaker. OK - lame, I know but it's all I could find in a hurry. Was very quiet when I got out to the barn but all 14 of my geese (who get closed inside the indoor arena at night for this very reason) were all very restless. I guess thinking you might be the next meal would make you a little nervous!
